Improving the FDI Flows in the Mediterranean via Free and Industrial Zones

The First Edition of the Mediterranean Industrial Investment Summit has been organized under the umbrella of the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), on the 29th of September and 1st of October 2011, in Mersin (Turkey). This Summit took place thanks to the common efforts of two ASCAME Commissions - ASCAME Industry Commission (under the Presidency of the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and ASCAME Investment Commission (under the Presidency of the Latakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry) - and to the close cooperation of the World Free Zones Federation (FEMOZA).

The Mediterranean Free and Industrial Zones and the potential investors met in Mersin during the Summit and discussed how to improve the FDI Flows in the Mediterranean Region via Free and Industrial Zones.

Taking this occasion, an agreement of cooperation has also been signed between ASCAME and FEMOZA. The success of this First Edition of the Summit will obviously contribute to the efficiency of the next editions.

SOMMET MÉDITERRANÉEN D`INVESTİSSEMENT INDUSTRIEL

Développer les Investissements Directs Etrangers en Méditerranée via les Zones Franches et Industrielles

La première édition du « Sommet Méditerranéen d’Investissement Industriel » a été organisée sous le toit de l’ASCAME, les 29 Septembre – 1 Octobre 2011, à Mersin (Turquie). L’œuvre commune de deux Commissions de l’ASCAME, à savoir ; la Commission d’Industrie (présidée par la Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Mersin) et la Commission d’Investissement (présidée par la Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Lattaquié), ce Sommet a été organisé en étroite collaboration avec la Fédération Mondiale des Zones Franches (FEMOZA).

Les Zones Franches et Industrielles du basin Méditerranéen et les investisseurs potentiels se sont retrouvés dans le cadre de ce Sommet et ont discuté « comment développer les Investissements Directs Etrangers en Méditerranée via les Zones Franches et Industrielles ».

Un accord de coopération a été aussi signé entre ASCAME et FEMOZA à l’occasion de la Première Edition du Sommet Méditerranéen d’Investissement Industriel. La réussite de cette première édition, contribuera sans doute à l’efficacité des prochaines éditions.
